Ever notice how headaches seem worse in spring?
You’re not imagining it — and it’s not just hormones or just tension.
Spring is nature’s reset button; everything around us is opening, stretching, and flowing.
But sometimes our bodies don’t get the message.
If you don’t know what’s really happening, you end up chasing painkillers and quick fixes. But when you understand the root cause, you can actually stop the cycle — and teach your body to relax again.
So I recorded this, just for you.
Here are 5 ways this video might help you:
✅ You’ll learn why stress literally “rises” into your head.
When your nervous system goes into overdrive, your energy moves upward. That’s why you get tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, and that buzzing head feeling.
✅ You’ll discover the Gallbladder meridian’s secret role in temple pain.
✅ See how headaches, neck tightness, hip or knee pain are all connected by one meridian.
The Gallbladder’s path explains why pain travels.
✅ You’ll see how Liver Chi stagnation fuels migraines.
The Liver’s job is to keep your energy flowing. When it’s stuck from stress, frustration, or anger, that energy builds up, and the pounding begins.
✅ You’ll understand how trauma and chronic tension keep the cycle going.
Discover how modern science around stress, mirrors ancient TCM patterns.
PLUS – A 5-minute reset, to activate your vagus nerve and restore liver and gallbladder meridian flow.
Small actions with big results. Discover how simple movement can promote the flow of energy, alleviate joint stiffness, and lift your mood.
✨ When your Liver and Gallbladder flow freely, you feel lighter, clearer, and ready to move forward with ease. When your vagus nerve is also activated, your head feels clear, your energy settles, and your mind softens.
So join me in this video, and I’ll guide you through gentle, science-backed ways to ease headaches and feel lighter this spring. To reduce pain, and give your body the “spring reset” it’s been craving. 🌿

Here it is…
Hello friend.
Spring is Nature’s Reset button.
Flowers, bloom trees, stretch birds sing. Trees grow, birds sing, but sometimes our bodies feel just stuck. Your hips ache, knees, creak, ankles feel heavy, migraines flare, and moods swing.
Sound familiar?
Hello and welcome. I’m Sarah Gowans. I help busy women, busy people just like you. Ease muscle tension, calm stress, and feel more comfortable and at home in their bodies.
This month’s videos we’ve been blending the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine with the modern science of stress and the nervous system.
Because when your body flows, your life flows too.
So Spring is nature’s reset button. Flowers, bloom, birds sing. But sometimes our bodies don’t get the memo.
Instead of feeling open and fresh, we feel stuck. Why?
Let Me Explain:
Because in Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring belongs to the element, to the wood element. The season of TCM, liver and gallbladder meridians. When they’re flowing, you feel flexible, creative, and energized. When they’re blocked, you can get stiff hips, cranky knees, sore ankles, migraines, and even mood swings.
That’s your liver and gallbladder meridians saying, Hey! Chi’s not flowing! Energy’s not flowing!
Imagine a garden gate that’s rusty. It still works, but it creaks and resists. The liver meridian is the oil that keeps them running smooth, flowing, opening smoothly while the gallbladder is the hinge that lets them swing.
And when the stress and tension block the flow, then the gates creak and resist. So how do we reset? With a little oil for your body. That oil is movement, breath, and joy. And for your body, a little oil goes a long way.
Five-Minute Spring Reset:
Here’s a Five-Minute Spring Reset:
Let’s try it together.
- Stand tall, roll your hips in slow circles.
- Now bend your knees gently
- And turn your ankles in circles. Rotating first one way with one ankle, then rotating the other way.
- And then the second ankle, rotating one way and then the other way.
And then the second ankle, rotating one way and then the other way.
Simple movements, but they wake up our liver and gallbladder meridians, which run through these joints.
And A Simple Meridian Brush:
Now let’s add a gallbladder meridian brush.
- Take your hand to the corner of your eye,
- Bring it around your ears, and
- Back up to the front of your hairline.
- Back down through the center of your head.
- Now back down through your head, through your shoulders.
- And down the side of your body: so down the side of your ribs, through your bum, and the side of your hips, down the side of your knee, towards the ankle, and come out on the second to last toe.
- Do this a few times. You are brushing away that stuck energy.
And I’ll put an image of the channel in the description, block box below as well.

Do You Feel That Shift?
You are actually smoothing the gallbladder channel, encouraging the energy, the chi to flow again.
And to finish, you can expand that process with sound. So hum, your favorite tune. That vibration travels along the gallbladder meridian and up into the head. Calming tension and lifting the mood. It also vibrates our vagus nerve, activating that to support our body even more, and encourage it to come into the parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest nervous system.
This then is your spring reset.
Just five minutes of brushing, and your whole system feels lighter.
Yes, really.
And smile, and add humming. This wakes up your vagus nerve and tells your body that it’s safe to flow.
Because spring isn’t about being stuck. It is about blooming into balance.
And trust me, when your energy flows freely, your joints move easily, and your mood lifts, your headache eases, then you’ll feel more like you again.
And when your liver and gallbladder flow freely, you’ll feel it in your joints, your mood, and your mind.
So, are you ready to reset?
So thank you for taking this moment for yourself. If this spoke to you, share it with a friend who could use a little balance themselves this spring.
And remember, you don’t have to carry it all on your own.
Breathe, stretch, and give yourself permission to bloom into balance this spring.
From my heart to your heart.
Namaste.
